Unlocking Joy With an Attitude of Gratitude — How to Cultivate It
Practicing gratitude is being consciously thankful for simple things like breathing, being alive, or having a job. It is the key to unlocking our joy.
I spoke to Tracey Lange on KFM’s Monday Motivation moment about how we can cultivate an attitude for gratitude.
Being grateful and being polite are two different things – saying thank you is NOT being grateful. Being Thankful – that is where we get to gratitude.
You can have good manners and not appreciate anything.
Gratitude is something that happens in your heart, it’s something that happens in your mind
When something is good in your life – anything – you can start with ‘I’m breathing’, ‘I am alive’, ‘I have a job’… take a moment and just experience that gratitude, really feel thankful for it
You don’t have to lose your health… before appreciate
Often we experience the negative and then we look back and say you know what… I should have appreciated it when it was there.
